Tomoyasu Nakajima
Tomoyasu Nakajima's inspiration for working with hair is his passion for fashion. As a child, Tomoyasu had an eye for the styles seen on the runway. With more than 20 years of experience in the hair care industry, he has been living his dream of surrounding himself and working with the top fashion magazines and designers.
His career began at a several prestigious salons in New York City, including ISHI salon. Landing the job of his dream at Sally Hershberger Downtown in the Meatpacking District, he has been personally mentored by celebrity stylist Sally Hershberger for the past five years.
Tomoyasu is known for giving singer Joan Jett her rocker chic cut and creating sleek and sexy editorial styles for publications such as Elle, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan and Surface to name just a few. His creations have been seen strutting down the runways of top designers such as Zac Posen, Escada, Jill Stuart and BCBG.
