Rodrigo Padilla was trained and mentored personally by Sally Hershberger. With the exception of a short six-month period at Serge Normant, John Frieda Downtown NYC in 2011, Rodrigo has spent his entire career with Hershberger.

Featured in Instyle Magazine’s Beauty Black Book as one of the best haircuts in NYC in 2011, Rodrigo has worked with an impressive collection of celebrities, including Uma Thurman, Jon Bon Jovi, Patti Smith, Meg Ryan, John Mayer, Joan Jett, Jane Fonda, Julie Kent, Kim Cattrall, Mary Louise Parker, Joanna Coles, among others. It was working with these individuals that informed his own personal style – one that embraces the natural intentions of his clients’ hair to imagine and realize the opportunities for personal style that is unique to each client.

An emerging talent on the fashion scene, Rodrigo has styled editorial photo shoots for Vogue, Marie Claire, Shape Magazine,Italian Vogue, V man, W and the New York Times. Rodrigo has also worked at the forefront of high fashion, including top shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week as well as private trunk shows for Alexander McQueen. While hair is now his primary passion that drives him every day, he has a somewhat eclectic background. Prior to his study in hair care, Rodrigo was awarded his BA in Communications with a minor in Media Writing and Latin American Literature. He was also a classic ballet dancer for 10 years.

Rodrigo is currently based at Sally Hershberger Downtown NYC.
