Tomo Nakajima’s inspiration for working with hair is his passion for fashion. As a child, Tomo had an eye for the styles seen on the runway. With more than 20 years of experience in the hair care industry, he has been living his dream of surrounding himself and working with the top fashion magazines and designers.

His career began at several prestigious salons in New York City, including ISHI salon. Landing the job of his dreams at Sally Hershberger Downtown in the Meatpacking District, he has been personally mentored by celebrity stylist Sally Hershberger for the past ten years.

Tomo is known for giving singer Joan Jett her rocker chic cut. He has also worked on an impressive list of celebrities including Halle Berry, Miranda Kerr, Sandra Bullock, Alison Brie and Emily Mortimer to name just a few. His creations have been seen strutting down the runways of top designers such as Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, Marchesa, Thakoon, Milly SS15, VPL and more.
